Mr. Avi Liran has over 20 years of leadership in the corporate world as a former diplomat trade commissioner and venture capital entrepreneur.  In this episode, Avi shares how he handles emotional anxiety and stress when faced with challenges in life.  He will also share tips on how to overcome the chief criticising officer within each of us that often prevents us from moving forward especially during these challenging times.

About Avi Liran

Avi is on a mission to delight the world; one person, one workplace, one community at a time.

Born in Tel Aviv in 1962, he came to Singapore in 1992 as the trade and tourism commissioner of Israel.  As a diplomat and economist, he had initiated two funds between Israel and Singapore that now manage more than a billion dollars. He also facilitated 9 investments in start-up companies in Israel for Singapore Telecom.

Since 2006 he has been researching about delightful leadership, values, and appreciation.  He is a keynote speaker, a TEDx speaker and a CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) who consults and trains leadership and management teams of top fortune 500 companies. He helps them to cultivate delightful leadership – one that creates a culture of delivering delight to employees and customers, alike.

Fun things about Avi:

  • He has two beautiful Singaporean kids.
  • He was one of the youngest basketball coaches in Israel, certified when he was still a teenager.
  • He could dunk (the ball) although he is only 176 cm.
  • He is passionate about planting trees and to give back.
